Hemoragia digestivǎ superioarǎ (HDS) este o problemǎ comunǎ în practica pediatricǎ, fiind întâlnitǎ la toate grupele de vârstǎ –de la nou-nǎscut la adolescent. Spectrul entitǎţilor responsabile de producerea HDS este extrem de variat dar, în cele mai multe cazuri, se datoreazǎ leziunilor de esofagitǎ, gastritǎ, ulcer peptic. Aceste leziuni pot avea origine comunǎ – infecţia cu Helicobacter pylori (Hp). Dupǎ o prezentare a HDS autorii discutǎ aspectele etiologice , diagnostice şi terapeutice la copil.

Upper gastrointestinal bleeding in children - etiopathogenic, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects
Acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) is a common clinical pediatric problem, from newborn to adolescent. The spectrum of the entities responsible for it is is extremely varied, but in most cases , the cause is represented by esophagitis, gastritis, peptic ulcer lesions. These lesions may have a common origin – Helicobacter pylori infection. After presenting UGIB, the authors focus on the etiologic , diagnostic and therapeutic problems in children.
