REZUMAT
Modificările tisulare ce însoţesc deplasările dentare produse de forţele ortodontice sunt diferite de cele observate în cursul migrărilor dentare fiziologice. Alegerea tipului şi intensităţii forţei, controlul vitezei de deplasare dentară, mărimea deplasării dentare sunt factori importanţi ce condiţioneaza succesul unei terapii ortodontice, depăşirea anumitor limite putând determina leziuni ireversibile la nivelul constituenţilor dento-parodontali.
Articolul de faţă îşi propune să prezinte cele mai frecvente efecte negative pe care tratamentele ortodontice (în condiţii biomecanice şi/sau anatomice necorespunzatoare) le pot avea asupra statusului parodontal.
