We are among the strongest and most demanding faculties in the Euroregion. The Faculty of Medicine loyally pursues its core mission of training in the medical field as well as supporting scientific research.

The teaching staff, physicians with prestigious professional and academic careers, have created and developed extremely solid education and research programs.

The material base, organized for education, research and innovation is one of our strengths: state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment fully support students and researchers to achieve excellence.

The academic year is structured over two semesters of 14-15 weeks each, with an average of about 30 hours per week; each semester has 30 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits for compulsory subjects. Students are assessed by written or oral exams, which are held during the sessions included in the curriculum structure. The optional subjects conclude with a test, and the credit points assigned to them are in excess of the 30 for the semester in question.

For the students of the Faculty of Medicine, the undergraduate studies are completed by a Bachelor's degree examination; undergraduate programs are accredited, and there are institutional mechanisms for the approval of study programs with regular evaluation and monitoring.

Graduates can continue their training through residency, doctoral and master studies or postgraduate courses within the educational offer of the Faculty of Medicine.
