Information, Promotion and Media Department

The Department of Information, Promotion, and Media (DIPM) functions as a strategic communication and brand management hub, supporting the long-term development of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova.
Through its activities, the department aims to coherently promote the values, identity, and achievements of UMF Craiova, as well as to foster a transparent and continuous relationship with the academic community, the media, and the general public.

Mission:

  • The DIPM integrates efforts related to institutional communication, primarily external communication.
  • It supports the institutional identity and public image of UMF Craiova through professional communication and university brand management, ensuring message consistency, visual coherence, and relevance of institutional discourse.

Objectives:  

  • Strengthen the UMF Craiova brand as a center of medical higher education excellence;
  • Increase the university’s visibility within academic, professional, and public spheres;
  • Ensure consistency in visual identity and institutional messaging;
  • Develop effective communication with internal and external audiences;
  • Support internationalization and academic recruitment processes through strategic communication;

Types of Activities:  

DIPM contributes to the continuous development of UMFCV’s visual identity system and collaborates with faculties, departments, and operational entities to maintain the integrity of the institutional image by:

  • Developing and implementing institutional communication and promotion strategies;
  • Managing the UMF Craiova brand by defining, applying, and monitoring its visual identity and communication lines;
  • Coordinating the use of institutional identity elements (logo, colors, typography, tone of voice) across all official materials;
  • Producing and managing promotional materials (print, digital, multimedia);
  • Administering and developing the university’s online presence (website, social media, digital platforms) in line with brand values and strategy;
  • Engaging with the media and managing the university’s public communication;
  • Promoting academic, scientific, cultural, and institutional events;
  • Supporting internal communication and organizational culture;
  • Monitoring the university’s public image and brand perception;
  • Collaborating with faculties, departments, and administrative structures to align communication efforts with the institutional strategy.
