The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova awarded Ms. Deborah Channells Senior Manager Ford Philanthropy (the philanthropic side of Ford Motor Company), the Diploma of Recognition and Appreciation for the support provided in the construction of the Dr. UMFCV mobile dental unit. The project is implemented by UMF Craiova with the support of the Ford Motor Company Foundation, Global Giving and Rotary Probitas.

With the mobile dental unit, multidisciplinary teams of specialists from UMF Craiova (doctors, residents, students) go to vulnerable communities, especially in rural areas, and provide free oral health consultations and care to people who would otherwise not have access. So far, UMF Craiova teams have already reached several villages in Dolj County, where they have provided consultations, smiles on faces and, above all, correct information and hope.
