On Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Ministry of Education, the delegation of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova (UMF Craiova) signed the contract for the project "Development of the infrastructure of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova for the construction of recreational spaces for students and administrative spaces", financed by the National Resilience and Recovery Plan ("PNRR").

The project has a total budget of 52.882.037,36 lei. Of this amount, 35.250.891,12 lei represents the eligible amount of the PNRR, 6.565.920,83 lei, eligible VAT, and 11.065.225,41 lei UMF Craiova's own contribution. 

The new building will have a height of B+GF+3+technical floor and will be multifunctional, adapted to all the objectives of the project. It will provide new spaces for student activities, sports, communication, interaction and personal development, while ensuring access to the university infrastructure for people with disabilities and disadvantaged social groups. In addition, administrative spaces will be included, freeing up student accommodation currently occupied by administrative staff.
