CUVINTE CHEIE studiu retrospectiv , SOPC , rezistenta la insulina , dislipidemie , obezitate;
Arguments for the connection between the metabolically troubles in the polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
ABSTRACT
PCOS is a syndrome described classically as an ovary dysfunction, an excess of the androgens and the ovary morphological anomalies, if we exclude the different reasons for hiperandrogenism.
Objective: - the purpose of this study is to present the experience of our clinic from Institute „C.I.Parhon” relating to connection between the metabolically troubles in the syndrome of the policystical ovaries and to compare the data with others from the medical reference material.
METHODS: - it is a retrospective clinical study using 30 patients diagnosed with PCOS in our clinic based on clinic and paraclinic data. We have measured BMI, blood pressure (TA), plasma glucose levels in OGTT, the serum levels of cholesterol and triglyceride, total testosterone and 17KS.
RESULTS: - we found a positive correlation between BMI, impaired glucose response and dyslipidemia in patients with PCOS; obesity is an aggravating factor of hyperandrogenemia and dyslipidemia in this syndrome.
KEY WORDS retrospective study, SOPC, resistance to insulin, dyslipidemia, obesity.
